So, you become friend with an Iranian lady and decided to hit the jackpot….yeah?
That’s ok. Iranian ladies are known for their traits, cooking and strong big noses.
First of all you should convert to Islam.
After marriage the lady remains a national of Iran but if the national laws of the husband’s country ban her of continuing her Iranian nationality she will loose her Iranian nationality temporary.
In cases of divorce or separation or death of the husband, she may take back her Iranian nationality again.
You should register the marriage in Iran embassy or else the government of Iran will never recognize your marriage and that causes complexities for your children and maybe yourself.
By marrying an Iranian lady there is no guarantee for becoming a resident of Iran.
Marrying an Iranian lady does not give you any privilege in getting Iranian nationality.
If the government does not approve your Iranian nationality or residency you should leave the country ASAP and /or renew your visa.
If you your nationality id cards for your kids, for example, you are Canadian and marry an Iranian lady and have kids and get Canadian id for your kids, the government of Iran will not provide any id card for your children because the government of Iran does not recognize dual nationality for the time being.
According to the laws of Iran, man is the leader and responsible for the family.
Man should provide for the family. If you intend to take your kids to your own country there is no problem and no need for taking permission from any governmental office.
For marrying and Iranian lady you need to take permission of the government of Iran or else you will be imprisoned up to three years.
You and the lady both should ask the government of Iran for issuing marriage permit.
Then you should provide official document from your own government that this marriage is recognized by your own government. (Not very compulsory)
How to convert to Islam? Just go to a clergyman and will show you the gate of fortune.
You should provide certificate from your government that you’re single or married!!!!
You should provide certificate that you don’t have any criminal records in your own country.
You should provide certificate that you are financially able to support the lady and also you have to put yourself under obligation that you will support your family well and avoid committing any violence against them.
The lady should have the right to ask for divorce if necessary.
