According to Irham, climbers often forget some restrictions and prohibitions when climbing Bukit Maras, so it is believed that there is a risk of something bad happening.

There are eight customary prohibition points when climbing Bukit Maras as follows:

While the general ban when climbing Bukit Maras there are six points as follows:

Each community that will climb Mount Maras is asked to provide its members with what can and should not be done during the climb.
“We do not want things to happen that we do not want, because we often hear rumors of deaths, accidents and stray climbers. Therefore, climbers must be really ready before carrying out their activities,” he said.
