Ambassador to Iran Wilfredo C. Santos donated two books to the national library of Iran
Now we have a Filipino books collection at Iran’s National Library.
According to the ambassador, now the new generation of Iranians got an opportunity to get a clear image about the people and culture of Philippines. Philippines is a rich country in the case of heritage, customs and culture.
Santos said, the embassy will continue donating books to the Iran’s National Library to increase the mutual understanding between Iran and Philippines.
The Iranians are also happy because donating new books from other countries and cultures, provide new opportunity for the National Library to expand its collections.
The donated books are entitled as Pasaporte and Pearl of the Orient.
Pasaporte is a small book about history of Philippines and the second book is on Philippines shell craft art.
More books are going to be donated to the Iran’s National Library from Philippines, specifically books written by Jose Rizal.
Iran and Philippines have political relations for more than 55 years and the relationship between Iran and Philippines is enhancing day by day.
