Maybe you are interested to know if mountain climbing is popular in Iran. According to the Iran Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Federation (IMSCF), there are more than 250 mountain climbing clubs at Iran. Another 100 clubs are under the process of registration. Moreover, there are 400 rock climbing areas at this country. There are more than 1500 mountain guides at Iran and 63k people are engaging in mountain climbing activities professionally.
