For some women, being single or unmarried in their 30s has become a kind of “nightmare”.
It feels like life is getting gloomy and darker because you are still alone at this ripe age.
It’s just that matters of matchmaking and marriage often have their own twist.
Simran Panaech, has shared her experience of being unmarried at the age of 39.
Here she shares her life experiences and the things she feels about being single at the age of 40.
“Recently, I came across an anonymous quote that really hit me. It said, ‘As long as you don’t have kids, your 30s are like your 20s but with money.’
It makes me laugh because it is a summary of my current situation.
I am 39 years old, single, happy, and honestly really enjoy my life, “she explained.
Live only once
When she was 37 years old, Simran felt that her life was running in place, only around work, going to gum places, going to friends ‘houses, to parents’ houses, and so on and on.
She admitted that she had undergone the same cycle for 11 years.
“I also didn’t meet anyone with the potential to be a partner in Singapore, let alone someone who deserves to be in a long-distance relationship when I meet someone while on vacation,” she said.
Even though she likes work, friends, and her life as a whole, she doesn’t feel like she wants to continue doing the same things.
She wanted to do something more challenging and adventurous. Since she lived only once, she decided to do something she really liked.
There are two things that make her happy, namely traveling alone (solo traveling) and music.
It took her two years to convince herself and her parents that she needed to do the things that made her happy.
She also decided to travel and enjoy music in a different city.
For one year, Simran enjoyed her life by traveling to various places and exploring many new places.
There is no pressure from other people because she makes her own and follows her own vacation plans.
When she meets new people on the way, she too can enjoy the time they spend together.
Even though it is tiring because you have to take care of everything by yourself, she can do the things she likes in life.
