The best trad climbing area near Tehran is Pol e Khab. Its more than one kilometers width and 100 meters high. You can climb Pol e Khab at any times regardless of the season. There are more than 100 routes on the wall. The grades are from 5.7 to 5.13.
For reaching Pol e Khab you have to go to Karaj from Tehran frot and from Karaj towards Chalous. After driving 36 km on your left, you will see the big wall, calling your name.
Regularly rock climbing courses are held at the area and most of the times you will find rock climbers near the wall.
