Everest base camp is located at the altitude of 6648 meters.
Everest base camp trek begins at Lukla and runs through Khumbu.
In winter i.e. December, January and February trekking the Everest base camp is not a nice idea because the excess cold, trail blocking and lack of visibility.
The second best time for trekking Everest base camp is spring and summer i.e. March, April and May.
The warmest month is May although always there is a possibility of snowing in Everest base camp.
April is the best time to trek the Everest base camp.
At this time you have 6 to 7 hours sunlight during the day.
Remember that you cannot see Everest from the base camp.
If you wanna have the best view of Everest trek up to Kala Patthar.
Monsoon is June, July and /August. It’s the rainy season. At monsoon there are landslides and lack of view to Everest because of too much clouds and rain.
This is the low season for trekking EBC.
Autumn is included of September, October and November.
At this season the sky is clear blue and the days are warm.
Remember that Everest summiting window is first to twentieth of October.
