Armenian Medieval Churches in Iran

There are three old medieval churches at Azerbaijan, Iran.  The churches are known as Dor Dor Chapel, Qareh Kelisa and St. Stephanos.  All of the ancient churches are registered under UNESCO. Two of the biblical 12 apostles brought Christianity to Iran. The churches were founded in the seventh century. The churches are uniquely beautiful and located in remote areas.

Qareh means black. It means a church that is black. The church is located at Chaldran road and there is no public transfer there. So you need to hire a private taxi. The price is not a big deal.
