How to Climb Damavand on winter
Damavand is not easy to climb on winters.
The winds blow sometimes more than 100 kilometers speed and the climbers cannot even stand on their feet.
There are major differences between climbing Damavand on summer and winter. On summer its “trekking” but on winter you “climb” Damavand.
On summer you reach yourself to Polour and from Polour you go to the height of 3200 meters by jeepny but on winters there is no jeep to take you to 3200 shelter.
Moreover, the 3200 shelter is locked on winter so, you have to climb from Polour to the camp three (4200meters) directly in one day.
From Polour to the camp three there is five to seven hours ascend.
At camp three there is a shelter and the person in charge is able to provide foods and beverages for you.
