Rudkhan Castle

Built more than one thousand years ago at South of Gilan. The castle is built in Alborz Mountains for military reasons.  Visiting the castle makes a lovely day trip. The best time to visit the castle is from Spring to fall. At high season many locals and foreigners visit the castle.

In winter the castle is even more stunning but be careful while ascending the deep steep because normally it is covered by ice and snow.  On the way to the castle you will cross a small city known as Fuman. Fuman is famous for its walnut cookies and you can get hot cookies and enjoy having them with hot tea or coffee.
