January 30, 2020Dena Mountain is located at Zagros Range.
Dena is 50 kilometers long.
It got more than 40 peaks above 4000 meters high.
The highest point at Dena Mountain is called Ghash Mastan that is 4450 meters high.
The Mt. Ghash Mastan is located at Isfahan province.
If you want to climb Ghash Mastan, first you should go Yasuj and from there reach yourself to Khafr village.
On your way to the mountain there is a small shelter.
Above the shelter there is a spring and you can take water from there.
You cal also climb Mt. Ghash Mastan from Si Sakht village.
On your way also there is a glacier that you should climb it but the glacier is not very deep steep.
From Tehran, it will take one day and half to climb the mountain.
Ghash Mastan is also known as Bijan 3.
Mt. Morgol and Mt. Ghezel Ghale are the peaks around Ghash Mastan.
At Dena range you can see brown bears, cheetahs, wild cats, eagles and goats.
Dena is source of twelve rivers such as Raygan, Siris, Khale, Kal Shoor and Tiz Ab.
After you reach to the Khafr village, should begin ascending at 5 am.
On your way to the peak you cross the apple gardens.
Then you will arrive to the Tang-e Halghariboon.
After six kilometers walk you will reach the metal shelter.
After 30 minutes rest continue your way towards the top.
Around 10 am you will reach the last phase of your ascend.
On climbing this mountain acclimatization is crucial.
Around 12 you will reach to the top.
At summer time the weather is sunny most of the times and no wind.
on Mt. Ghash Mastan you can see a nice scenery.
On the way back you will reach to the shelter after 3 hours and another 3 hours you will reach to the Khafr village.
From Khafr village to Isfahan it is 4 hours on the road.
