How to start mountain climbing
First of all you need to know mountain climbing is synonym of mountaineering. Hope you know what a “mountain” is!
Mountaineering means to walk up the mountains and get to the summit. And of course descending that mountain.
You need a pair of comfortable hard walking shoes to do the climbing. The shoes are a little expensive but they last so long. My father got a pair of climbing shoes more than 40 years ago and it still works. It’s a famous German brand known as Koflach.
Unstable weather is the first challenge you may face at the mountains. Don’t trust the blue sky. In a twinkling of an eye, a shiny day turns into a stormy hell.
Depending on the situation of the mountain, you may need some equipment to do the climb such as axes, crampons, ropes and etc.
Mountain climbing is suitable for everybody. Especially you, with those eyes staring at the screen!
Just go to the mountains for the first time, do the climb and take a rest. Have your breakfast and think with yourself. If you asked yourself “why the hell I am doing such a tough activity”, “why am I walking like a pregnant penguin?” Well this adventure is not for penguins, if you don’t mind. But, if you tell yourself, “why I didn’t do this before?”, “Not without mountains anymore!”, “I will divorce my wife and spent all my life in mountains”, “I always knew my spiritual animal is a goat”, then, climbing is your jackpot.
If you are a beginner, please don’t make big expenses yet. Take your time and try to climb more mountains.
