October 28, 2020The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Decision # 3040 / QĐ-BVHTTDL recognizing the National Tourist Zone of the Temple of the Hung Kings in Vietchi City, Phu Tho Province.
It is the 6th national tourist area of Vietnam.
According to the Decision, the National Tourist Zone of the Temple of the Hung Kings has an area of 11,350.74 hectares, including the territory of the complex of historical monuments of special state significance of the Temple of the Hung Kings, together with the entire natural territory of the city of Vietchi (the area of the city of Vietchi is 11,175 hectares.
The area of the complex of historical monuments of special state significance Temple of the Hung Kings is 845 hectares, of which 669.26 hectares are located in the city of Vietchi, 41.24 hectares belong to the Tienkien community of Lamthao County, and 134.5 hectares to the Funin community of Funin County).
The border of the national tourist zone of the Temple of the Hung Kings is defined as follows: in the north, this zone is bordered by the town of Fong Tau and the Binfu community of Funin County, in the east – with the Songlo River and the Binfu community of Funin County, in the south – with the Red River, and in the west – with the community Thashon and the town of Hung Son in Lamthao County.
The Hungarian King Temple National Tourist Area is the most famous and important tourist destination in Phu Tho Province.
The number of tourists coming to the festival at the Temple of the Hung Kings is about 85-90% of the total number of tourists in Phu Tho Province, and tourism revenues account for about 82% of the total tourism revenue in the province.
There are currently 6 places recognized as a national tourist area in the country, including:
Lake Tuenlam National Tourist Area (Lam Dong Province), Shapa National Tourist Area (Lao Cai Province), Mount Sham National Tourist Area (Anjang Province), National Tourist Area Chaco (Quang Ninh Province), Mui Ne National Tourist Area (Binh Thuan Province) and the Hungarian King Temple National Tourist Area (Phuto Province).
