Orumiyeh lake is located at north west of Iran.
The lake is like the Dead Sea i.e. its super salty and nobody sinks in it.
The Orumiyeh Lake is registered at UNESCO since 1976.
Only Artemia Shrimp can live in this lake.
There are some worries about the lake.
It seems that it’s going to die same as Aral Sea.
Now the lake is 10% of its former size.
The lake attracts plenty of seasonal migratory birds.
A bridge crosses the lake and links Orumiyeh to Tabriz.
The lake is hard to access.
At the lake there is a Kabudi Island that the grandson of Genghis, Hulagu Khan is buried.
No need to take a trip to the lake.
Just take excellent pictures from a Tabriz-bound bus.
